Latest Jerico® News:
July, 2003 - Jerico Gets a 5-Axis CNC Machine
Everyone knows that CNC machines are used in state-of-the art machine processes. They allow input from programs and do most of their work automatically. These machines vary vastly from 1 to 7 axis - each axis representing a direction in which the cutter can move. For example, if a drill bit can move up and down along the Z-axis, that's one axis (not really of much use, but a good example). If the drill bit can move up and down the x-axis and rotate about it, then you have a two axis machine. In our case with the 5-axis Haas 710 IPM, we are allowed to move up and down X,Y and Z and two rotary directions. This allows us great freedom in producing some of the best high-performance parts around.

Service to match our products -
Jerico Performance products is proud to announce it has opened a new Racing Driveline Service Center. Now race teams can have at hand all the full service operations of a dedicated transmission
and gear shop, without the costly expenses of overhead for people, parts, shop space, and turnaround time. The start-up and business costs of an in-house transmission and gear shop are substantial, but Jerico can now
supply teams a cost-effective and timely alternative backed by our 35 years of motorsports powertrain experience.
Who could know the inspection, repair, and maintenance of power management products like our transmissions, better than the experts who design and manufacture them? No one.
And now our powertrain expertise is available to keep your Jerico transmissions and 9-inch third members race-ready at a very
reasonable cost. We can service single units, or schedule a regular service agreement contract for all of a team's weekly requirements
to keep powertrain parts ready without downtime.
To bring our new racing driveline service to race teams we've hired two of the most experienced powertrain men in motorsports.
Veteran racer Bob Park manages the staff of our new Racing Driveline Service Center. Bob has over 35 years experience
in the OEM and racing industry ranging from racing and winning in Modifieds, managing race teams, and being
the father of Winston Cup racer Steve Park. We've also hired famed and respected Winston Cup crewchief and winning engine builder Waddell Wilson to be our field representative.
Waddell is our point man who will work directly with teams to oversee nearly 75 years of racing and winning, and they are as hands-on
as any racer can be. Each delivers the same, no compromising commitment to keeping your powertrain parts in peak condition as we do when we
first manufacture them.
