Jerico® Integral Coolant-Pump Systems

Jerico®'s exclusive Integral Coolant-Plump System is a uniquely efficient means of reducing the parasitic operating losses of auxiliary coolant-pump systems for transmission and rear-axle lubricants. Two versions are offered: single-stage and dual-stage.

The demands of oval-track and road-course racing require the use of a cooling system for both transmission and rear-axle lubricants. Conventional auxiliary coolant pumps -- whether driven by electric motors or belts -- rob engine-generated horsepower and are unreliable.

Light and efficient
Jerico®'s Integral Coolant-Plump System replaces the normal Jerico® magnesium tailshaft housing with a specially designed, single- or dual-pump system that is driven directly off the transmission output shaft. This significantly reduces the parasitic losses caused by auxiliary systems (motors and belts). Also eliminated are the various fasteners, extra lines and added weight. A magnesium-cased Jerico® 4-speed equipped with the 2-stage Integral Coolant-Plump System weighs just 72 pounds -- only four pounds more than the basic transmission!

A single-stage pump is available for circulating lubricant for either the transmission or rear axle. Our dual-stage pump can provide adequate volume and pressure for circulation of both the transmission and rear-axle lubricants.

Jerico®'s Integral Coolant-Pump System are being used by many top IROC, Winston Cup and IMSA teams with excellent results. The Integral Coolant-Plump System is available as an option on any Jerico® WC4 or RR4 oval-track or road-racing 4-speed.
